A LUNA TECH PRODUCT

Constellation.

Constellation builds the system an operation actually runs on. It’s designed around how the business already works, owned end-to-end, and delivered through a structured engagement on fixed scope and fixed fee. The outcome is operational leverage, not another subscription.

01 · BUILT FOR THE UNUSUAL

Off-the-shelf software is designed for the median operation. The businesses that need Constellation are not median.

Most software is designed for the middle of the distribution. The operations Constellation engineers around are the ones that sit outside it: specialized procedures, regulated workflows, data pipelines, and logistics no vendor was built to support. Usually the part of the business that doesn't fit is the part that makes it defensible. Constellation treats that as something to engineer around, not standardize away.

02 · THE ENGAGEMENT MODEL

Three phases: discovery, implementation, and optional operation. Fixed scope and fixed fee in the first two.

Discovery and implementation are scoped and priced before they begin. Phase 3 is optional. The architecture and roadmap are delivered before any implementation starts, and the resulting system is owned by the client end-to-end. The structure is what removes the open-ended timelines and open-ended invoices typical of custom engineering work.

02 ImplementationFixed scope, fixed fee, defined milestones
03 OperationOptional · monthly system support
03 · OPERATIONAL LEVERAGE

The system becomes the way the business operates.

The deliverable is not software. The deliverable is leverage: operations that run on infrastructure built around them, rather than around someone else's product roadmap. Work that used to require coordination across people and disconnected systems collapses into the system itself, and the advantage compounds because the system is owned end-to-end, governed by the business, and reshaped as the work changes.

luna-tech.co

Constellation engagements begin with discovery, not a demo. The first conversation is about the operation itself: how the work actually moves, where it has diverged from what off-the-shelf software assumes, and which parts of the current setup have become fragile under the weight of the business. Discovery is a fixed-fee phase with three defined deliverables: a written requirements document, a proposed architecture, and an implementation roadmap. The deliverables are owned by the client whether or not the implementation phase goes ahead.
